    (1) Purtill's Garden: Owned at one time by a man called Purtill.
    (2) The Big Field: So called because of its size.
    (3) The Cow Field: Used at one time as a pasture for cows only
    (4) The House Field: Is the field nearest the house.
    (5) The Near Cragg and the Lower Cragg: Fields of a craggy nature divided by the road
    (6) The Cottage Field: A labourer's cottage is built near the same.

  2. In the farm of Miss Taylor, Hollypark, Kilcornan, the following names are found
    (1) The Racecourse: Races were held in that field long ago.
    (2) The Lough Field: This field contains a lough of water
    (3) The Blue Lake so called because of the blueness of its water.
    (4) Walker's Field: Contains the ruins of a house in which a man named Walker lived at one time.
    (5) The Line Garden: This garden is bounded on one side by the main road or "line"
    (6) The Bloody Gate: A man was killed here long ago.
