- The Housed in olden times were made of mud and some of them were thatched. The thatch is got from wheat and reed. The bed used to be placed by the wall in the kitchen. The fire was placed by the gable wall. There used to be no chimneys to the old houses. A bucket used to be placed in the top to let out the smoke. There was no windows or rooms to them. The fure was made in the centre of the floor in some of the old houses. The old houses were very small.
