    The Paddock for to take
    A hundred pounds, he has laid down
    I fear your purse is weak.
    Many a turkey & fat goose
    You gave to Mistress Walsh,
    Hoping by her interest,
    The paddock you'd be left.
    But now, alas, its gone from you
    It grieves your heart full sore,
    And leaves old Mick, upon his bed
    His losses to deplore.
    N.B. There were two men from this parish in the Pope's Brigade - Thomas Kenny and - Corbett who resided in Ballintubber, Kilfinane, Co. Limerick.
