- About forty years ago a girl attending school at Shrahala met her death suddendly. There was a board over the river which is called Aba na gCaora she and other girls went to cross the river to get some water out of a well at the other side of the river. Just as she was half way across she fell in and got drowned. Her companions were two young to know the danger they rushed back to school screaming and they were too frightened to tell of the fatality until it was too late.
