    Trenchs were married to the Olivers and they soon became heirs to the Olivers land. The Trenchs were Galway people and were tyrants.They voted against Emancipation and the following words were spoken by Daniel O Connell about them. "Whenever there is a (month) Trench you will find mud at the bottom of it."
    The Trenchs later sold some of their land to Lowes around the Galtees.
