  1. Ode by J. H. Fleming U.A.A 1929
    Formerly of Ballylanders.
    Co. Limerick brother to
    the late Patrick Fleming
    Merchant
    Sandymount
    Dublin
    - Bayo -
    1st Stanza
    When Bayo left the village
He was but a callow youth
Just going to School at Limerick
    And learning how to shoot
    For Bayo loved his country
    And the English soldiers knew't
    2nd Stanza
    Ere Bayo left the village
He was hunted night and day,
For the bloodhound cops of England
    Were then on double pay
And the widow's son and sole support
    Too often was their prey.
