  1. 1st Stanza
St Patrick's Day has come and gone
With nought left to remind us
Of the cross-road dance and carrying on
In the land we've left behind us.
    2nd.

The bands would play "St.Patrick's Day",
    To make the girls merry.
    3rd

    Of either saint or sinner
And when the piper got a start
    They all forgot their dinner.
    4th
To Keneficks cross just after Mass
The boys and girls would wander
And from Cullane each Colleen Bawn
    Would march toward Ballylander.
