    One time I happened to be on business for the Hon. HUgh Massy in a gentleman's house in Monmouth.

    One time I happened to be on business for the Hon. Hugh Massy in a gentleman's house in Monmouth. I was standing in the kitchen and one of the kitchen girls happened to be Irish. When she found out that I came from Ireland she was very friendly and said to me:-
    "Suidhe annsan agus déan do reast go fóill"
    The gentleman happened to come in at the time and when he heard the girl speaking in Irish he got very vexed and said
