    Some years ago there lived a family in County Tipperary not far from Galteemore.

    (continued from previous page)
    Jack raised his voice outside and added "Is Diardaoin, Is Dia h Aoine."
    The fairies shouted out inside "Who has spoiled our fine song?"
    "Bring him in said the King of the fairies" in great anger. When he was brought before him the King said : -
    "Jack Madden Jack Madden
    Your words came so badden
    That your heart we will sadden
    Two humps for Jack Madden."
    Thereupon Lusmores hump was taken from the floor and placed on Jack Maddens back along with his own hump and from that day to this Jack Madden had two humps and he didn't go near the lios nor the fairies after that.
