  2. Once upon a time there lived in a wood a boy named Jack and his mother This day Jack said he would go off and seek his fortune. He started off and went along until he came to a gentleman's house He went in but he saw no one only a small little dog Jack took away the dog. He was just outside the door when he heard shots fired after him He ran off and he saw a girl taking the dinner He told the little dog to take the basket from the girl The little dog got the dinner and brought it back to Jack. Jack and the little dog then had a good dinner Then they went off and the night was falling on them They came to a wood and there they saw a small thatched house and there were three Robbers
