    he wanted for the butter. Tom told him. After some time they finished the bargain. Having sold the butter Tom started for home. He reached the "half-way house" as the sun was commencing to set. He unharnessed his horse as usual and put him into the stable. He then went into the "half-way house" and sat down near the fire. As he was sitting there smoking his pipe who came out of the "eating-room" but the little man. When he saw Tom he shouted out "Wisha good night Tom. How did you fare in Clonmel?" "I got on all right" says Tom, "and everything happened as you foretold. They were chatting for some time and at last Tom went to bed as he was very tired. Next morning Tom started for home. He reached his destination safe and sound and his master was very pleased for getting such a fine price for his butter.
