    And flag decorated with green
Was put on the hill of Knockcouragh
    Where often evictions had been
They marched on in due order
And I told them to play up a tune.
Till we strike the drum after old Paddy
The Baliff and Cobbler from Doon

He should be expelled for our Altars
Or sent to some far distant clime
Before he would stifle the Nation
And that is the end of my rhyme
"Bradell" was an agent of Colonel Hare's. He was collecting rent at "Dobbin's Hotel" in Tipperary. He refused to take the rent from Michael Hayes, Doon. He had the rent in one hand, and a pistol in the other. He asked the agent three times to take the rent, which he refused. Then he said "if you don't take the rent you can take this", and he discharged the pistol into his body.
    This story is perfectly true.
