    There's a peelers barrack there.
    'Twas there I had the best of time
    With the (Cires) drinking beer.
    When their days work would be over
    Sure they'd come there to a man
    To give a kindly greeting
    To the Dola Blackan tan.

    One day we got a message
    Of a raid upon a train.
    We stuck for Bohendola although
    'Twas teeming rain.
    The sergeant shouted "hurry,
    Sure (bedad) you are not salt"
    We walked along the railway line
    Till we dropped on a keg of malt.
