    As my note I procure
    I find a note one or two
    Describing how "Fox" soled my shoes
    On my first trip to Curreeny
    Come with me to early Mass
    And view the lassies as they pass
    You will find there is no prettier lass
    Than you behold in Curreeny
    The fact of being detained for tea
    Gave me a course and chance to see
    What Yankees call a quilting bee
    So it is called in Curreeny
    A peasant kept a sword
    The bells conveyed me down the road
    Until we reached our "Fox" abode
