When the boys mobalised neath the green white and gold.
To ambush the foe for their Dark Rosaleen
And to strike a good blow by the walls of Drumkeen.
O'Hannegan came with his men from the east.
And you'd swear to see them march they were going to a feast.
So care-free and gallant in their jackets of green,
Were the boys from East Limerick that day in Drumkeen.
Next the lads of our own, they marching along.
