    Just at the cottage (college) near Moll's cross
    There lives a lass most brazen
    She keeps four goats as bold as brass
    Along the road-side grazing
    Stone walls do not a prison make
    For cattle are so stubborn
    So French and German leave they take
    Those goats of Molly Mourne

    One day she tied the four up tight
    To save them from the thunder
    And after saying her prayers that night
    She bid them go and plunder
    That was the night of the great big push
    When Molly was loudly snoring
    The man in the moon ran with his bush
    Around the goats of Molly Mourne

    One day they broke to Thomas Lynch'
    And on him they laid bonasis.
    They scooped his turnips, every one
    Till they looked like smiling faces
