    The Old Church (in Ruins). St Margaret's Church was situated quite close to the hedge school.
    Present School - built in 1847.
    Was first used as an Agricultural school
    (An old man tells me that he pulled flax in field at back of school)
    Post office - Successive Postmistresses

    4 Jonathan Switzer - held the position about 100 years ago)
    5. Site of Old Post office Still to be seen
    (Nole - During the famine of 1847 was situated near this spot a house that was used as a meal-distributing centre.
