    (1) Wakes:-
    (a) Keeping the "parings" of the candles that were lighted near the corpse for a few days and then burning them.
    (b) Water used in washing corpse kept under bed where the corpse lay, and not thrown out till corpse had been taken to Church.
    (c) Articles such as Candle-sticks chairs etc that were got on loan for wake had to be taken back by the person that brought them.
    (d) Lid of Coffin brought not taken in, but left outside house until corpse was placed in coffin.
    (e) Five candles lighted to represent the five wounds of Our Saviour (Local belief in this district)
    (b) (above) In some parts of this district people do not pair the candles if too
