  1. In the olden times the people used always wait for Shrove to get married because they said it was a lucky time But in the present time the people get married at all times except in Lent and Advent.
    May, July, August, September and October are considered unlucky months to get married.
    When the couple would be getting married in the olden days, and when they would be considering the day to get married the old people would caution them with the following rhyme:-
    Monday for health;
    Tuesday for wealth;
    Wednesday the best day of all;
    Thursday for losses;
    Friday for crosses;
    Saturday no day at all;
    And when the couple were choosing what colour they would wear the old people would sing the following songs:
    Married in white live happy and bright,
    Married in red better be dead,
    Married in green not fit to be seen,
    Married in grey you will live far away,
