  1. (continued from previous page)
adjoins this churchyard and there are two or three families buried in the ruin. The names of two of these families are Conroy of Ballyquirk, Lorrha and the name of the other is McGrath. It is over thirty years since the last person was buried there, his name was Michael Conroy, of Ballyquirk.
The second cemetery is at both sides of the avenue leading to the Catholic Church. On one side the ruin of the Black Castle is in the cemetery, and on the other side is the ruin of the Dominican Abbey. There are a good many graves within the ruin of the Dominican Abbey.
This graveyard is very old and a new one has been opened at the back of it.
The Lorrha river flows beside the cemetery.
