    with the animal. This luck penny is calculated according to the price of the cattle.
    If one got a good some of money for the cattle one must give a good luck penny.
    When the bargain is made the parties strike hands and while it is making there is great laughing and one would hear the men say split the difference and when they come to an agreement the animal is marked and sent to the Railway Station and taken away to Dublin or Limerick.
    This is the way they are marked by putting mud on them off the street with a stick, by clipping the hair off the side of the animal with a scissors or by raddle. There is no haulter given with cattle only with a horse.
