Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Some thirty or forty years ago it was rumoured that there was a treasure hidden in Prospect.
    The people did not know the spot where it was and so they were not able to locate it.
    Now one day, a ploughman, Tom Clark was ploughing on Mr Wallers land in Prospect. He was ploughing a scrape - not thinking of the treasure I presume, when he saw something like brass on the furrow.
    He picked it up and left it on one side. He found another and then another, as he went along, and by night he had a great heap of it. He related the story of his find. Miss Waller came to hear of it and got it from Tom. What did it turn out to be but gold.
    It was afterwards traced that a battle was fought in that vicinity where Tom found the gold, and the people hid their money for
