   After that the school was held in
   a private dwelling - house which
   we call the "building". The owner
   of this building who was a
   very rich man built a new
   school which is the one we
   have at present.
   The tenants brought all
   the necessaries they could with
   their horses for the building of
   the new school. The teacher's residence
   was soon removed. The wall was
   taken and the garden was let in to the inch
   to make it bigger by a man
   named James Madden.
   The stones and mud was
   taken away and put in to a
   heap in the middle of the field
   intended for topdressing at the time
   I suppose. It was only about a fortnight
   ago the roadmen took it to fill up the
   bridge.
