  1. We have potatoes growing on our own farm at home. Every year we sow one acre of potatoes. We sow the same amount always.
    My father prepares the ground. No one in this district manures the ground before tilling it. The potatoes are sown in drills. First the land is ploughed and harrowed and then it is rolled. Then the drills are opened with a double mould board plough leaving the drills about twenty eight inches apart. Ploughs are always used in making drills.
    No person in this district ever uses a wooden plough now. When preparing to sow the potatoes, the
