- On St. Brigid's Eve people used to put out a ribbon and bring it in in the morning. By tying it around your head it would cure a headache.
They also used to dress up a doll which they called the Bridogue and take it around gathering money. With the money they made a party to which they invited they young boys and girls of the neigbourhood and got a barn to dance and feast for the night.- Collector
