    Nora will wait on the travellers,

    Old Michael himself he is civil,
    And the law he will strictly obey,
    Yet he will sell you four pints every Sunday,

    The boys have their new boots all torn.
    They are out every night at a dance.
    The girls are so fascinating,
    You won't find their equals in France.
    But they get the Niagara meagrams,
    At the time of the drawing of the hay,
    From the dancing and swinging till morning,
    On the road between Newport and Rear.

    You may travel from Queenstown to Derry,
    From Dublin along to Mayo,
    You may visit Killarney in Kerry,
    Or the homestead of old Brian boru,
    But you'll not find a place so enchanting,
    Or people so jolly and gay
