Once upon a time there lived a man in a little slated house near Greenfield wood by the name of Pat Schofield. It was his custom to go with his friend named John O Brien to a neighbours house about a half mile away.
When they were coming home it was one o'clock in the night as they passed the fort in Monadahass they saw a little man dressed in green clothes and a red cap. They ran as quickly as they could and the little man after them.
