  1. Jack Lanigan told me this story. His grandfather and he were in the kitchen one summer evening. He saw a local man who had died a short time previously walk in the door, hit his grandfather, and then vanish into a cupboard. He was very young and so he cried and called attention to what was after happening. But his grandfather had neither seen nor felt anything. The old man died that night.
