- Glenkeen and HolycrossMichaelmas day was a patron day in Holycross. The monks were in Glenkeen and Holycross at this time. On that day the monks used to go from Glenkeen to Holycross and all the people with them.
On entering Holycross the Abbot of Glenkeen found that he had forgotten his Breviary. He told the people after him and they passed the word back along. So numerous were the people that the word went from mouth to mouth until it reached Glenkeen. The Breviary was got and passed along from hand to hand without any one changing places until it arrived in Holycross.- Collector
