When the fair is over, the farmers get drunk. The tinkers also go into the public houses and they cause a great deal of trouble to the shopkeepers.
The streets are very dirty after the fair and they have to be cleaned by the road men. The children have no school on a fair day as the streets are full of all kinds of animals and it would be dangerous for them to pass.
