  2. About a mile from Thurles on the Kilkenny road their is a bridge called Drish bridge two hundred yards down the right bank their is the ruins of an old mill called Harneys mill. There are now the property of Mr Long who ownes this field in which the ruin is situated. Some years ago a blacksmith lived in Thurles and kept a forge there. Once during a busy period he employed known as a tramp tradesman. This man lived in the blacksmiths house outside town, some
