    Horse and Jockey was so called because in ancient times there there was no motorcars or busses and the people had to go in coaches drawn by horses. The horses used to change there and that was how it got to be called Horse and Jockey.
    How Maxforth got its name was because there was a forth there and the owners name was Max and that was why it was called Maxforth.
