    to boil, it was on the fire a long time and it was not boiling, and instead of getting hot it was colder it was getting.
    When the mistress came home the girl asked her why wasn't the water boiling The mistress asked her where did she get the water. The girl told her it was out of the well. The mistress said to "throw it out and never go near the well again for it was a holy well."
