    cloak and white bordered cap. She probably got her nickname from her habit of referring to people under discussion as a "Lawkey man" or "lawkey woman" as the case might be.
    She came into the kitchen, sat down, and chatted with the people of the house. All the gossip of the area which she covered - a radius of eight or ten miles was recounted. She carried with her a bag, and her reward was a "grain" of yellow meal. If she came in during meal time she was invited to sit to the table. She lived in Cashel
