    a hand coming up through the earth.They also saw there was a ring on one of the fingers.
    They raised the body and burned it in the abbey , and they sent the ring back to the queen of England.She was so delighted that she presented them with a relic of the True Cross.The relic was kept in the Abbey and it was from the relic the Abbey got its name Holycross.Pilgrims came from all over Ireland and other countries on pilgrimage to Holy Cross Abbey.
    It is said that the piece of the True Cross should cure all diseases.It was kept it in the Abbey until Cromwell's soldiers knocked the Abbey .It was removed to a Convent in County Cork and it is said to be still there.
