- Sun: Beams from the sun are signs of rain. When the sun is setting, if the sky is red east it is a sign of rain
If the sun draws tears from your eyes it is a sign of rough weather. If the sun goes down with a red glow it is the sign of fine weather
Moon: A cloudy moon is the sign of rain or a circle around it denotes rain also. If the moon was on its back it was the sign of rain.
Stars: Shooting stars are signs of broken weather and when there is a dark night without any stars it is also a bad sign. When there are several stars in the sky they denote frost.
A Rainbow: A rainbow is a sign of showery weather
A rainbow in the morning is a sailor's warning and a rainbow at night is a sailor's delight.
Clouds: When the clouds race across the sky it is a sign of bad weather. Black clouds are signs of rain and white clouds are signs of snow. When there are scarcely any clouds in the sky it is a sign of fine weather.
Wind: Northern wind is the sign of snow. East wind is the sign of hard weather. West wind is the sign of fine weather. South wind is the sign of rain. When there is a thunder storm and if the wind blows the(continues on next page)
