- Cloth was made near Ballylooby by a man named Terry O' Brien. People used bring the thread to him and he used to weave it into cloth. The people used card the wool and spin it into thread at home.
There was a spinning wheel in nearly every house in Ireland long ago.
People used knit stockings from the thread. - When the holy family were travelling through Egypt they went into a few houses for food and the people not having anything refused them.
