- "Glounaneve" is a farm quite near where I live. It is said that Owen Roe O'Neill fought a battle there in olden days. A double ditch can be seen at the present day, which served as a trench and there is a quarry in the centre of this field and it is thought that Owen Roe's soldiers were buried there also or at the "bush" of Duhill. A lady was fleeing from the enemy, and could take it no further than "Glounaneve". Some people say that soldiers can be seen riding on white horses about the field at midnight.
