- In my Great-Grand fathers time, it is said that in one of our fields, there was a lough which is there yet.
Long ago it is said that it was drained, and the people took up all the manure, and in the centre, they saw a hole, which descended by planks of steps. They went down as far as they could, and next they saw a mill-wheel, then they got afraid, and they closed the lough up again.
During that time all the cows of the farmer died that year. It is said that every night at a late hour a leapreuchaun visits that field.- Informant
