The was a Minister living in Golden, and he had a man ploughing his garden.

There was a Minister living in Golden, and he had a man ploughing his garden. It happened that the boys around the place had a tame Jackdaw. They used to dress him up with red ribbons around his legs. They split his tongue with a three-penny bit, and then he was able to talk. He followed the man, that was ploughing the field, saying "I'll eat you up. I'll eat you up." The ploughman left the horses and plough and ran to tell the Minister. The Minister came out with his Bible and asked where he was. The Jackdaw ran down the drill saying "I'll eat you up. I'll eat you up. I'll eat the two of ye"
