    In the time of the evictions there lived near the town of Tipperary a young man named Cut Quinlan and his mother. It happened that Quinlan and his mother were evicted. He then went to England to join the British army and he fought several battles. An English officer said no braver man than Quinlan could be found. During one battle the English officer was wounded and lay in the battlefield to die. Quinlan on hearing it said he
