  1. A Legend
    Three miles from Golden there is a castle of which a strange story is told. One day while a man was cutting firing in a fort near the castle a bough hit him near the eye and he got blood-poisoned. The blood-poison caused his death because he could not be cured.
    It was said that a notorious man called Browne lived in the castle. This man was a landlord. One day while he was going to a neighbouring cottage collecting the "tithe" he was shot in the fort by an unknown man.
    This man succeeded in escaping the police and he got to America where
