    being a Protestant was puzzled deeply, and on the advice of friends he asked the priests of the district to dine with him.
    Over the meal the strange noise was discussed. The priests read over the grounds, and the nearby woods, and they also sprinkled them with holy water. They continued to do this for some time.
    Soon after the noise was no longer heard to the great joy of the inhabitants of the Glen.
