    But the peelers got such a
    fright - the Constitution they
    would save
    In their anger hot, they fired
    buckshot and sent him to his grave
    God help his widowed mother -
    God help her in her grief
    In the sympathy of the Irish
    race, I hope she’ll find
    relief.
    All Ireland mourns with
    her, and men would die her
    boy to save
    But alas ! - too late - he met his
    fate, and now lies in
    his grave.
    His funeral was a mournful
    sight, yet splendid to be seen
