    There is a great variety of birds in our district, namely sparrows, thrushes magpies starlings, skylarks, robins wagtails...

    its own but lays its eggs in some other bird's nest. This bird hatches them and rears the young ones.
    Most of the birds mentioned build their nests of moss or blades of grass, lined with feathers or hair. The magpies and crows however build their nests of sticks.
    Birds generally sit on their eggs for three weeks.
    The weather can be judged by the behaviour of some birds such as the swallow. When swallows fly low, it is the sign of bad weather, but when they fly high it is the sign of good weather. If they come early in the year it is the sign of a fine summer, and if they migrate early it is the sign of a bad winter
