  1. Boils. Make a plaster of sugar and soap and place it on the boil.
    Burn. Fresh lard, Laurel lef and dry flour
    Cough. A syrup made with brown sugar and turnips.
    Sore Throat. Put a woollen stocking and salt around the throat.
    Heart Burn. Bread soda and water.
    Wart. Get a snail early in the morning and rub it to the wart. Then put the snail on a bush.
    Put fasting spittle on the wart.
    Chilblains. Wash in paraffin oil.
    Chincough. Give the food left by a ferret to the person who has the cough.
    Ask a man riding a grey horse to tell you a cure for chincough, and what every he will say do it.
    St Anthony's fire. Use dry laurel leaf or fern
    Nettle Rash. Use dockleaves.
    Blood Purifier. Use three good meals of nettles before the month of May is finished.
