    match was introduced, but no decided answer was received from the girls parents until inquiries were made about the g boys home and means. When they had received enough of knowledge they sent word to the boy and his friends to met them at a certain house in town or village and there they would spend the day settling affairs and arguing about the girls dowry. If all agreed the girl went to see the boys house, and in a week or so the marriage would be carried out.
