    2. Whooping cough: The cure for the whooping cough long ago was the milk left over after a ferret drinking it.
    3. Trush: The cure for thrush long ago was honey and borax.
    4. Burns: The bark of elm boiled in water is the old cure for a burn.
    5. Headache: It was an old cure for a headache long ago was to tie St. Brigids ribbon around your head.
    6. And long ago people would say that if there was seven sons after one another or seven daughters the seventh one would be able to cure something.
