  1. Emblems and objects of Value Continued.
People here bring water from the local holy well of St Seadna and not alone use it themselves but send some to friends far away. Many cures are attributed to the devout use od this water as told in another part of this book.
Little cobble stones are brought from St Berreher's well at Ardane and kept very carefully. Tradition has it that those who keep some always in the pocket will never meet death by drowning.
It is indeed a pitty that the younger generation seems to have lost all faith in those holy wells, as undoubtedly the great faith of the old people in them drew down many blessings spiritual and temporal on themselves and ont heir belongings.
