    of a woman who on the 1st May made her way to a certain place where butter was being made. She dropped her handkerchief into the churn and try as they would the churn could not be made. Our next door neighbour, the late Mr. Frewen, told us that at one time the black art was carried so that his people found their pails of cream simply pails of blood. The priest, was called and banished the curse.
